Design Features I Like
Quite honestly, there’s a lot to like about this set. For starters, it’s available in two finishes, “Hansen Cherry” and “Maple Cross”. Offering both, allows Bush to market it to people who like the artistic look of the light color and for those who prefer a more executive feel, the dark stain is perfect.

The desk, in either the left or right return, is spacious enough for your computer, its peripherals and a full-size monitor. There’s ample drawer space for your memory sticks or to hide away things that would otherwise cause clutter. For the files you need ready access to, under the drawer it’s ideal for your letter-sized Pendaflex folders. If you work on a laptop and don’t require the cubby for a CPU, you’ve got extra space for items you’d rather not see on your desk, such as a 5-disc CD changer.

I don’t see this set in the office of a CEO or VP, unless he or she works in a design firm or is otherwise artsy or trendy. It’s very “cool” perhaps not elegant enough.
My Final Verdict
I can’t say enough good about the Bush Somerset 60” Desk Office Set. It’s far more functional and stylish than many desks in this price range. The fact that the filing cabinet and bookcase are “all inclusive” makes it that much more attractive. Of course, if you prefer, you can opt to buy the desk on its own, should you realize you don’t need the extras. But honestly, for this price, I’d have a difficult time walking away from it all.
