Bush My Space Edge Cobalt Single Pedestal Desk with Short Hutch
In this age of clutter and frills, the more is better attitude runs rampant and it spills over into everything, so when you’re looking for simplicity in form and function, you might as well pull out your hair before leaving the house; it’s what you’ll do on your mission, anyway. That is, until you stumble onto the Bush My Space Edge Cobalt Single Pedestal Desk with Short Hutch. Suddenly, the world becomes a much easier place, and the air is a little sweeter.
Setting it Apart From Others
First, the design: simplicity, clean lines, attention to function and offering the best of good looks, too.
The choice of finishes are beautiful in the delicious Mocha Cherry, or the rustic Field Maple. It rises a bit higher than a standard desk, which is a welcome state that allows for higher position with your work chair, so you’re not cramped as you go about your business. The Edge Cobalt is a compact desk, meant for smaller areas while offering maximum work surface. Hardware is minimal and uncomplicated, complimenting both finishes and keeping the sleek lines of the desk unhindered and straight.
The Edge Cobalt desk also delivers further respite from clutter by granting a large cabinet space, big enough to accommodate a PC tower and keep it out of harm’s way. The mini, or short, hutch, is a finishing touch that is as thoughtful as it is utilitarian, with the option of being moved to either side for either right or left handed workers, or even placed in the center. This welcome addition allows for papers to be separated, files to be stacked, or stores office supplies up and out of the way, keeping the work surface clear. The single pedestal style is visual frosting, along with the door beveling, and adds just that little spark of something that keeps the desk from being too stark, elevating it above others in its class.
How I See This Desk in Use
Small and self-contained, I see the My Space Edge Cobalt desk more as a secondary desk than a primary, though certainly it can handle the position of first string. It has the makings of an exceptional writing desk, or one made for a laptop, with the hidden compartment for supplies, or a printer. It would be well placed in a home office or as an additional catch-all in the office of a CEO.
It has a charm about it that few can claim, almost fun and casual, while maintaining an air that smacks of professionalism. It’s stylish, simple, and bold, without making an overstatement or an understatement. Truly, it combines a blend of airs and lends itself to a great many themes or decors. Standing at 39.25″ H x 47.5″ W x 23.5″ D, it’ll fit in most spaces, including dorm rooms, and look smashing as it does so.
The End Verdict:
This desk is stylish, unpretentious, and austere. There’s a certain purity in its simple structure that speaks volumes and it’s a perfect companion piece to either you or your main desk. While it won’t dominate an office, it certainly will lend a touch of unadulterated style and class that you’ll appreciate for many years to come. Bush Grove Park L Desk in Tea Maple
Corner: the word given to that line where two walls meet, which also happens to be some of the most wasted space in any given room. Generally, one piece of furniture is aligned with it and little more can be done. Personally, I don’t have space to waste and I like to be as area-efficient as possible. Enter the Bush Grove Park L Desk in Tea Maple, a perfect solution for that corner that needs to be used to its fullest capacity, and done so with style.
Why This Desk is an Excellent Choice
When you have limited space to begin with, the last thing you need to do is attempt to jury-rig even more free area for the computer tower or the files that simply must be right at the fingertips.
This handsome, L shaped desk fits snugly into the corner to maximize space and open new possibilities. The design is smooth and sophisticated, smartly simplified without being Spartan. Its versatility allows for the matching hutch to be coupled up on either side for convenience. Durable construction ensures this piece will be with you for a long time to come.
Aside from the good looks, this desk offers vast utility, too, with a very handy PC tower cabinet boasting an adjustable shelf, and two pull out drawers for letter sized files. Lots of leg room means you don’t get cramped up as you work, and the massive supply of elbow room means you have plenty of ability to stretch out and not have to push things aside. The half-skirt in back keeps the cords in place, too, so your feet aren’t yanking back the monitor when you cross your legs. Hardware like handles and pulls are minimal, so they neither get in the way, nor subtract from the sleek styling. The Tea Maple finish is neutral but lush, and complements an array of interior design.
Where This Desk Belongs
The Bush Grove Park L desk is a versatile piece that can go just about anywhere, as long as it’s housed in a corner, but I definitely see it shining brightest in a home office, or where the room is smaller and attention needs to be paid to the size of furniture chosen. Certainly, it’s classy, professional, and it gets the job done. With dimensions of 30″ H x 59.53″ W x 59.53″ D, it’s not small, but it’s not gigantic, either. Still, it provides ample room for whatever the need. I would not recommend this desk for a room where the corners are already taken. However, The L does offer the ability to cordon off a cubicle shape in a large room if it is not used in a corner, and the dividing feature may be just what you’re looking for, depending on your wants and needs. It may work well in a small office, too, if just a desk and chair are necessary, as those built-in file cabinets are truly a space-saving addition.
The Final Say
It’s a personal preference, but I really like L shaped desks, as they tend to offer twice the space of a regular desk but take up the awkward corners that are so difficult with which to do anything useful. Sometimes, an office’s layout demands a traditional desk, and other times, it will require something different. For those times when your office needs to fill corners, the Bush Grove Park L desk in Tea Maple is a fabulous find go check it out today!

When setting up an office, it can be difficult to know exactly what you need, especially if you consider future expansion. Will just a desk be sufficient, or will file cabinets be needed down the road? Bush My Space Easy Alamosa Ladder Desk in Classic Black
When you think of a desk, what comes to mind? I tend to conjure up a basic look, almost certainly, rectangular in shape, maybe even with a hutch. I would hazard to guess this is the standard image for most folks, but if you applied it to the Bush My Space Easy Alamosa Ladder Desk in classic black, you’d be in for a surprise.
When I first saw this desk, I wasn’t quite sure what to think; it’s very different from what I’m used to.
A split second later, though and I found myself really liking its original structure and geometric design. It’s not unlike an artist’s easel and seems to inspire creativity and energy. Or, to go with a different frame of reference, it’s almost like a waterfall, frozen in black. There’s definitely a Zen feel to it, tranquil and peaceful. Add some flowing greenery and you’d have a personal, meditative haven.
Truly Contemporary Details…
This lovely ladder desk has a total of three surfaces in goes-with-anything classic black. The top stretch is great for holding papers, speakers, plants, books or miscellaneous. Under that, you find the main work surface, large and ample, with a fantastic big drawer running the length of it, perfect for pens, notebooks, tape, staples, or whatever you need to have at hand. The bottom shelf was thoughtfully included to help keep the printer, fax, or scanner close by.
The slim dimensions go up rather than out at 52″ H x 23.125″ W x 36.25″ D, meaning it takes up little room, but offers a lot in return. The lower kick board helps keep wires from tangling up your feet and keeps the sleek lines of this ladder desk clean and tidy. Speaking of lines, it’s hard not admire the modern, artsy feel this desk brings with it, considering the simple yet elegant practicality of the piece. Like a ladder to greater aspiration or an easel for your most creative thoughts, the Alamosa ladder desk offers something for every personality.
It Speaks to a Certain Nature…
I can see that this desk, innovative and structured as it is, would not be for everyone, or at least, it may not match every theme choice. I definitely view it as a great addition to a kicky, fun home office with a bohemian vibe, or as an excellent choice for an Asian-inspired suite. It’s very versatile in that it can be played up or down, used for inner inspiration or inner sanctuary, in a minimalist setting, art deco, or any number of conceptions.
My Humble Conclusion…
It can be a center piece or an accent, but it will always be striking and unusual, so if that kind of different look isn’t for you, I would not recommend this desk. However, I genuinely feel this is a piece that will fit a great many places and if something a little out of the ordinary is what you’re looking for, then don’t hesitate, go check out the Bush My Space Easy Alamosa Ladder Desk in classic black today!
Bush Findley Parson’s Desk
There are times when a room has to look just so, a special arrangement, a spotlight on a piece of art, or just a theme that needs to be tied together. Sometimes, we just like minimal clutter, clean lines and utility without the frills. If any of that sound like you, then you may want to rest your eyes on the handsome frame of the Bush Findley Parson’s Desk.
It’s All in The Details…
In elegant understatement, this desk doesn’t dominate a room as much as it complements one, adding to the sleek and timeless look of the décor.
It’s a basic desk, but strong, sturdy, and captivating in its simplicity. Less is often more, and the Findley Parson’s desk offers ample workspace with the added perk of a middle drawer to store your items and supplies. The drawer is designed to blend with the wood, so no sudden jolts to the eye when regarding the lines of the desk. Smooth as silk, with a rich color to interlace well with any design concept, the Parson’s desk is utility personified.
The Perfect Setting…
I can imagine many places and situations where a desk this clean yet stately would be enviable, but it appears best suited for a home office. It can be a desk that sits out of the way, perhaps to the back or the corner, a silent sentinel guarding precious work space, or it can be an accessory, accenting a theme in a quiet, fashionable demeanor. This is the kind of desk that strikes me as a definitive piece in an ensemble; it certainly has a specific style, flair and audience. It reminds me greatly of a grand oak, color notwithstanding, with an unmovable base and solid grace that befits many interiors.
Not for the frivolous, the Parson’s desk boasts classic styling and sturdy construction. This is no wimpy desk made of puff and paper; it’s a workhorse, a dark stallion among its kind, no bows, trappings, or fancy flowers, just quiet dependability and a very handy drawer. This desk easily tromps over other desks in its category making you the clear winner.
My Two Cents Worth…
While I am one for storage and lots of it, there’s still much to be said about a desk this straight and clean. Its large surface area allows for either PC or laptop with elbow room to spare. Also check out that leg room! No way are you hitting knees on this one, and it’d be excellent as a writing desk, too. It also has enough clearance to indulge in a sinfully comfortable chair with plush armrests and padded backing, like the Boss Office Excecutive High Back Chair in ebony.
Dimensions are 30.2″ H x 47.17″ W x 23.2″ D, and at 60 pounds, it’s no lightweight, but you won’t need a small army to situate it where you need it, either. Honestly, I find this piece to be sleek and affordable, with those stately lines speaking for themselves. Add elegance to your home office easily with the Bush Findley Parson’s desk.
